Baseball Game Preview: Sunset Apollos vs. Grant Generals

The Sunset Apollos will square off against the Grant Generals on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Sunset sitting on five straight victories and Grant on 14.

Sunset is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They beat McMinnville by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-1.

Meanwhile, Grant faced Jesuit in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Generals blew past the Crusaders 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Grant's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Sunset, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.
