Basketball Recap: Kansas Comes Up Short

If Kansas was feeling good fresh off their 61-41 takedown of Westville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kansas Comets were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 50-49 to the Grove Ridgerunners. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ridgerunners apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Kansas' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Grove, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Kansas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-47 victory against Jay on the 25th. As for Grove, they will challenge Claremore Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
