Volleyball Recap: Raytown Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Raytown challenged Grain Valley on Thursday. The Bluejays lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Bluejays just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Grain Valley scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.

Raytown's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-2. As for Grain Valley, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Raytown has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Raytown South on the 6th. As for Grain Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Blue Springs South on the 6th.
