Football Recap: Salisbury Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Salisbury can now relate to. The matchup between the Hornets and the North Surry Greyhounds didn't end well, with the Hornets falling 40-26. The Hornets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Salisbury lost on Friday, don't look at Isaiah Foxx. Despite the final result, he rushed for 142 yards and two scores, and also threw for 225 yards and one TD. Foxx has become a key player for the Hornets: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-8 otherwise.

Zamarri Sweatman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 187 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry for North Surry. Sweatman's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.

Salisbury's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for North Surry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Salisbury nor North Surry have any future games scheduled.
