Basketball Recap: Clinton's Win Ends 12-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clinton). They walked away with a 59-48 win over the Union Spartans on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Dark Horses as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Clinton found their leader in freshman Anyahs Butler, who posted 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for Butler. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Bass, who earned nine points.

Clinton's win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11. As for Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Clinton will challenge Red Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clinton is facing Red Springs at the right time seeing as Red Springs is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Union, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
