Hayden waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Springville Tigers a 4-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 on Tuesday.

Hayden's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Springville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-13-1.

Hayden and Springville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 78th) will meet Southeastern (ranked 236th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Springville will take on Shades Valley at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th with a big rank advantage (101 vs. 337).
