Soccer Recap: North Stafford's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Massaponax typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday North Stafford proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Panthers 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given North Stafford's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Massaponax are ranked 15th).

North Stafford's one-goal win came courtesy of Lysander Diaz-Flores, who's now up to two this season.

The victory (which was North Stafford's third in a row) raised their record to 6-9-3. As for Massaponax, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3-1.

Looking ahead, North Stafford will challenge Riverbend at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverbend will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something North Stafford surely won't give up without a fight. Massaponax does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
