Basketball Recap: North Georgia Christian Academy Takes a Loss

North Georgia Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 70-55 bruising from the Philadelphia Christian School Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-68 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, North Georgia Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Luke Beaver, who almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine boards. That was a full 60% of North Georgia Christian Academy's points, marking the 17th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Zed Blackwell was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 13 points.

North Georgia Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Philadelphia Christian School, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

North Georgia Christian Academy will square off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Philadelphia Christian School, they will face off against Eastgate Life Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
