Softball Game Preview: Cedar Creek Eagles vs. Florence Buffaloes

The Cedar Creek Eagles will face off against the Florence Buffaloes at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Cedar Creek is looking for their season's first win.

Cedar Creek lost 18-1 to Anderson on Friday.

Cedar Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was O Prokop, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Florence). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Ellison a 19-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Buffaloes considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Cedar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Florence, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Cedar Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Florence in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 19-14. Will Cedar Creek repeat their success, or does Florence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
