Softball Recap: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Olympus Titans
Taylorsville and Olympus squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Taylorsville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since March 28, 2024.
Jaelyne Zapata put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Amari Aguila stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Demi Miller was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
