Baseball Recap: Vinton County Comes Up Short

Vinton County managed to slip by Meigs the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Marauders on Wednesday, falling 10-3. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Marauders earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Vinton County's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Meigs, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Vinton County will welcome Trimble at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meigs, they will head out to square off against Alexander at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
