Baseball Recap: Bethesda Christian's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Bethesda Christian's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against St. Paul's Prep as Bethesda Christian made off with a 17-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Bethesda Christian considering their one-run performance the match before.

Samuel Helm spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Landon Gonzales was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Helm, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bethesda Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Bethesda Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-2 win against International Leadership of Texas Keller on the 27th. As for St. Paul's Prep, they will look to defend their home field on March 4th against Harvest Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. The game will give St. Paul's Prep their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
