Softball Recap: Freeman Comes Up Short

Freeman fell victim to Liberty and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The Scotties were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Freeman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabel Silva, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Freeman's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 18-2. As for Liberty, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Freeman will welcome Newport at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty has already played their next game (against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
