Basketball Recap: St. Francis' Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

St. Francis lost against Crespi back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. Francis Golden Knights took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crespi Celts. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (58), the Golden Knights still had to take the loss.

Crespi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Barnes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Barnes has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kingston Smith, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points.

St. Francis' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Crespi, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

St. Francis will challenge Chaminade at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chaminade is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season. As for Crespi, they will face off against Sierra Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Crespi's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups.
