Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Calvary Christian lost against Indiana Christian Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Calvary Christian EAGLES fell 44-36 to the Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds. While losing is never fun, the EAGLES can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Whirlwinds are ranked 92nd).

Indiana Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Seth Plew out in front who went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Plew's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Tipton, who went 6 of 9 en route to 14 points.

Calvary Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-5. As for Indiana Christian Academy, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

The future could be bright for both Calvary Christian and Indiana Christian Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Calvary Christian will look to extend Christian Academy of Madison's five-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Indiana Christian Academy will try to hand Crosspointe Christian Academy their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
