Basketball Recap: Searsport Comes Up Short

Searsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 65-19 defeat at the hands of the Jonesport-Beals Royals. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Searsport's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Jonesport-Beals, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Searsport will welcome Sumner at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jonesport-Beals, they will challenge Shead at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Jonesport-Beals is facing Shead at the right time seeing as Shead is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
