Volleyball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Falls to Mishawaka in First Game of Season

Mishawaka Marian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Mishawaka Cavemen on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Cavemen recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-14, 25-22.

Elle Boser paced Mishawaka Marian's offense, picking up 15 kills. Boser got some help from Bri Lundy and her 23 assists. Finally, Boser was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Mishawaka can attribute much of their success to Kallahan Steinman, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Coming up, Mishawaka Marian is taking a road trip to take on NorthWood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mishawaka, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Bend Adams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
