Eaton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Ansonia Tigers with a sharp 13-7 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Meredith Pieratt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Julie Schrimper was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Ella Statzer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Looking ahead, Eaton will face off against Crescent at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. As for Ansonia, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 loss against Covington on the 27th.
