Recap: South Haven Christian vs. Victory Baptist Academy Patriots
South Haven Christian have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Victory Baptist Academy 59-12 at home. Winning may never get old, but South Haven Christian sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Haven Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sofia Ashley, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Ashley pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan McElyea, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
South Haven Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
South Haven Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin Road Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Road Christian is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they will square off against Pleasant View Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pleasant View Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Monday.
