North Kitsap proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Port Angeles Roughriders 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on five straight.

The team relied heavily on Tate Stearns, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

North Kitsap pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Port Angeles, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7-2.

North Kitsap will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Roughriders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
