It was a good run, but Saranac Lake unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Beekmantown Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Red Storm were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.

Mackenzie Crane paced Saranac Lake's offense, picking up four kills. Crane got some help from Sophie Czadzeck and her 11 assists. Czadzeck was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Saranac Lake's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Beekmantown, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Saranac Lake has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lake Placid on the 30th. As for Beekmantown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northern Adirondack on the 30th.
