Softball Recap: Gateway Charter Takes a Loss

Gateway Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-0 to the Estero Wildcats. If the Griffins were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gateway Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Estero, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway Charter will head out to take on Lehigh at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Estero, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Estero Wildcats duke it out with Barron Collier Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Barron Collier has averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season.
