Softball Recap: Bentworth Comes Up Short

After flying high against Washington on Tuesday, Bentworth came back down to earth. The Bearcats lost 9-1 to the Frazier Commodores on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Commodores this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-8 two weeks ago.

Bentworth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Gonglik, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Bentworth's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Frazier, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bentworth will head out to take on Waynesburg Central at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Frazier, they will venture away from home to challenge California at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
