Basketball Recap: Philip's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harding County, Philip was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the White River Tigers by a score of 48-39. The victory was some much needed relief for the Scotties as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Philip's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Terkildsen, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, Terkildsen is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Kale Peterson was another key player, shooting 40% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Philip was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 8-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

The win got Philip back to even at 10-10. As for White River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Philip does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for White River, they will welcome Bennett County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
