Basketball Game Preview: Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls vs. Gadsden Panthers + Official Tickets

The Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls will head out on the road to face off against the Gadsden Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carlsbad will be strutting in after a victory while Gadsden will be coming in after a defeat.

Carlsbad not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 25th (when they won 82-18). They claimed a resounding 60-26 win over Deming. The Cavemen/Cavegirls' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Gadsden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 77-28 loss at the hands of Roswell. Having soared to a lofty 58 points in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Carlsbad will have to contain Jose Alvarez as he made an impact in Gadsden's last game. He shot 45% from the field en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ezequiel Torres, who posted four points.

Gadsden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carlsbad, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Carlsbad against Gadsden in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 68-27 win. In that game, the Cavemen/Cavegirls amassed a halftime lead of 42-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
