Volleyball Game Preview: Mechanicville Red Raiders vs. Stillwater Warriors

Mechanicville is 2-8 against Stillwater since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Red Raiders will look to defend their home court against the Warriors at 4:15 p.m.

Mechanicville came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Stillwater. The loss put an end to the Red Raiders' undefeated start to the season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-14.

Stillwater's win came from a few key players Mechanicville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Andie Luskin, who had 14 kills, four digs, and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 37 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Armstrong, who had seven kills and four aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mechanicville fell to 5-1. As for Stillwater, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2-3.
