Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Democrats vs. Santee Falcons

The Jefferson Democrats will head out on the road to square off against the Santee Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson will be strutting in after a victory while Santee will be coming in after a loss.

Jefferson took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They strolled past Torres with points to spare, taking the game 67-48. The Democrats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Santee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Dr. Maya Angelou Community, falling 61-40.

Santee's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Jefferson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Jefferson suffered a grim 95-73 defeat to Santee in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Democrats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
