Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson lost against Andress back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jefferson Silver Foxes fell 3-1 to the Andress Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Silver Foxes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 574th, while the Eagles are ranked 172nd).

Jefferson's goal came courtesy of Nicolas De La Rosa, which was the first he's scored this season.

Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season. As for Andress, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Coming up, Jefferson will take on Burges at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. Burges will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
