Volleyball Recap: Olean Has No Trouble Against Jamestown

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Falconer, Olean was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Jamestown Red & Green 3-0. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Red & Green recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Olean took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-14.

Elizabeth Bailey paced Olean's offense, picking up nine kills. Bailey got some help from Ariana Finch and her 19 assists. Bailey and Finch didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with six apiece.

Olean now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jamestown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Olean will host Cuba-Rushford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jamestown, they will square off against Portville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
