Soccer Recap: Waltrip Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westbury, Waltrip was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Sharpstown Apollos. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Waltrip's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sharpstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waltrip has already played their next match (against Galena Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sharpstown will head out on the road to square off against Westbury at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Westbury will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Sharpstown surely won't give up without a fight.
