Softball Recap: Simmons Wins Going Away Against West Bolivar

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leland, Simmons was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the West Bolivar Eagles as they made off with a 23-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won three matchups by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Simmons is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for West Bolivar, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Simmons will face off against rival South Delta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Bolivar is set to take on their familiar foe Leland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
