Baseball Recap: Rio Americano Raiders vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies        
        
		
            
 Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Rio Americano couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost  10-0 to the Granite Bay Grizzlies on Tuesday. Rio Americano was red-hot at the plate headed into the  match (they scored no less than ten  runs in the three  matchups prior) but Granite Bay's pitchers proved too tough.
 Rio Americano saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mac Hausman, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases.
 On Granite Bay's side,  Chase Bentley made a big impact no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Bentley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Bentley was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Jace Bystrowski was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.  Brenden Pops was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 Rio Americano's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 20-9. As for Granite Bay, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 20-9.
 Rio Americano does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granite Bay, they will take on Jesuit at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Jesuit will roll in looking for their  11th straight  win, something Granite Bay surely won't give up without a fight.
