Baseball Recap: MVP Baseball Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Central Pointe Christian Academy last Wednesday, MVP Baseball Academy came back down to earth. MVP Baseball Academy fell just short of the ELEV8 Sports Institute Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Friday. MVP Baseball Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as ELEV8 Sports Institute apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

RONALDO TORRES and ANGEL PORRAS stepped up to the plate in a big way. TORRES went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI, while PORRAS scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases PORRAS has posted since back in February of 2024.

MVP Baseball Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, MVP Baseball Academy will face off against Central Pointe Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. MVP Baseball Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season. ELEV8 Sports Institute will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on MVP Baseball Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 14th.
