Softball Recap: Cedar Park Christian Triumphs

Cedar Park Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Elma on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Cedar Park Christian.

Shelby Southard made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

In other batting news, Adelaide Foster was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

Cedar Park Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Elma, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.

As of now, neither Cedar Park Christian nor Elma have any future games scheduled.
