Stephenson Posts Huge Game in 27-26 Victory

Starting off the list is Waynesburg Central's Jacob Stephenson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stephenson rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 113 yards while completing 80% of his passes. He has become a key player for Waynesburg Central: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

This year, Stephenson has averaged 129 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 21.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 105.17 rushing yards.

A Season-Best Performance from Ross Tennant Leads Waynesburg Central over Carlynton

On Friday, Waynesburg Central got the W thanks in part to Ross Tennant playing the best football he has all season. Tennant rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.

For the season, Tennant has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 20.6 rushing yards per game.

Big Game from Sciulli As Carlynton Fell 27-26

While John Sciulli delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Carlynton. Sciulli was dynamite, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns.

Carlynton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. Sciulli and Carlynton will be playing in front of their home fans against Sto-Rox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Noah Pletcher Makes Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Noah Pletcher of Charleroi. Pletcher picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Charleroi's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Pletcher and Charleroi will venture away from home to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
