Recap: Walnut Hills Eagles vs. Turpin Spartans
The Walnut Hills Eagles lost to the Turpin Spartans back in February of 2022, but the Walnut Hills Eagles didn't allow the Turpin Spartans the same satisfaction on Monday. Walnut Hills walked away with a 50-40 win over Turpin. The win made it back-to-back wins for Walnut Hills.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josie Carrelli, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Paige Dornheggen, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals.
Walnut Hills' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Turpin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walnut Hills will take on Lebanon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Turpin, they will head out on the road to face off against Loveland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
