Baseball Recap: Bishop Carroll Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Carroll). They put the hurt on the Southeast Golden Buffalo with a sharp 18-0 win on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 on Tuesday.

Vince Iseman and Ethan Cox dominated on the mound. Iseman tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Cox tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Cox posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Jonah Mull was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Harrison King was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Bishop Carroll always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Bishop Carroll pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.5 runs this season. As for Southeast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4-2.

Bishop Carroll wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-1 victory against Derby on the 4th. As for Southeast, they will take on Belle Plaine on Monday.
