Pleasant Grove is 6-1 against Pinson Valley since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pleasant Grove Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Pinson Valley Indians at 5:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove has given up an average of 18.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Pleasant Grove came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 25-7 to Clay-Chalkville.

Ta'Riyah Riles made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Harris, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Pinson Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Dora, falling 14-3.

Pinson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pleasant Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Pleasant Grove's way against Pinson Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Pleasant Grove made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pleasant Grove since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
