Basketball Recap: Peru Nighthawks vs. Saranac Spartans
Peru was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 63-37 to the Saranac Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Nighthawks have suffered against the Spartans since December 10, 2021.

Despite the loss, Peru saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gavin Sypek posted nine points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave Sypek a new career-high.
