Highlands Ranch and Eaglecrest are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Highlands Ranch Falcons will take on the Eaglecrest Raptors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eaglecrest took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Highlands Ranch, who comes in off a win.

Highlands Ranch is headed out to face Eaglecrest after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Highlands Ranch sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Columbine on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Jackson Tuttle looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ayden Wells, who went 3-for-4 with one home run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josh Dave, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Highlands Ranch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Columbine only posted a batting average of .250.

Eaglecrest kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Columbine by a score of 12-10.

Eaglecrest also got a good showing from Jace Perry, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Braden Elliott was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Highlands Ranch suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to Eaglecrest in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Highlands Ranch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
