Basketball Game Preview: Nash Central Bulldogs vs. Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets

Nash Central is 1-6 against Roanoke Rapids since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Nash Central Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m.

On Monday, Nash Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Bunn.

Meanwhile, Roanoke Rapids didn't have too much trouble with Bunn on Friday as they won 57-40. That looming 57-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Yellowjackets yet this season.

Nash Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Roanoke Rapids, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Nash Central came up short against Roanoke Rapids in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 63-54. Can Nash Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
