Basketball Recap: Salado's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Salado had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They greeted the New Year with with a 49-34 win over the Jarrell Cougars. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Salado's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-13. As for Jarrell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salado will take on Burnet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jarrell, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lampasas at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
