Baseball Recap: LEE Comes Up Short

LEE fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Clark on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Clark Cougars by a score of 8-6. The Volunteers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

LEE saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Gallegos, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Andy Reyes, who scored three runs and stole a base.

LEE's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Clark, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Looking ahead, LEE will welcome Brandeis at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandeis' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so LEE's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clark, they will square off against Churchill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
