Basketball Recap: Eastlake Takes a Loss

Eastlake suffered their closest loss since December 4, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the San Diego Cavers by a score of 57-55. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Cavers: they've now lost five in a row.

Isaiah Marte continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for San Diego, putting up 19 points and four steals. Marte's evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Lamar Smith was another key player, posting 13 points.

Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for San Diego, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

Eastlake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 89-27 defeat against Montgomery on the 31st. As for San Diego, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-58 loss against Christian on the 31st.
