Softball Recap: Miller City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ottoville on Tuesday, Miller City came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 11-3 to the McComb Panthers on Friday.

Teagan Rieman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Miller City's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for McComb, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miller City will challenge Continental at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McComb, they will venture away from home to take on Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.71 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
