Upsala waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 60-49 win over the Royalton Royals. The Cardinals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Leading Upsala to victory were Quinn Guthrie and Calvin Leners. Guthrie shot 67% from the field to rack up 21 points, while Leners posted 11 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Laliberte, who scored nine points and five rebounds.

Upsala's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Royalton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upsala will host Pierz at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Royalton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Holdingford at 1:00 p.m.
