With a playoff win on the line, Del Campo rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Sutter Huskies. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won nine games in a row.

Mitchell Clements spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. He has become a key player for Del Campo: the team is 8-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10-1 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brody Bieneman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Young, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Del Campo's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-12-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Sutter, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-5.

As of now, neither Del Campo nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
