Bakersfield can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Fordland Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 8th.

Bakersfield's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fordland, they moved to 22-8 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Bakersfield has already played their next match, an 8-2 defeat against Gainesville on the 20th. Fordland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
