Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Lions vs. Eastside Catholic Crusaders

The Lakeside Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Eastside Catholic Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lakeside sitting on three straight victories and Eastside Catholic on five.

Lakeside can't be too worried about heading out to take on Eastside Catholic: they just beat Bellevue at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Lakeside took down Bellevue 56-38 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Eastside Catholic earned a 56-44 win over Mercer Island on Tuesday.

Lakeside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Eastside Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

Lakeside came up short against Eastside Catholic in their previous meeting last Wednesday, falling 50-37. Can Lakeside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
