Softball Recap: Byng Pirates vs. Guthrie Bluejays
After losing to Guthrie the last time they met, Byng decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Byng Pirates skirted past the Guthrie Bluejays 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.
Byng's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Guthrie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byng will square off against Dickson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are at an even 3-3 against one another since August of 2019, but likely not for long. As for Guthrie, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Duncan at 5:00 p.m.
